Williamstown Development Update

The Klose family is pleased to announce the development of the Williamstown Foodland. In 2022 Klose’s saw an opportunity to acquire land in Williamstown, thus giving us the opportunity to enhance the community through a supermarket development. Unfortunately, along the way we came across many hurdles, which ultimately has taken some time to overcome but through our persistence and partnership support from ForeDesign, a building design has been created that blends local heritage with modern aesthetics, within the existing street appeal. We have further partnered with Chappell Builders to commence works during September 2025.

The community has been a great source of support over the last few years, and we know the community will continue to play an integral role as we anticipate opening the store late 2026.

Our website page will be updated over the course of the build where we will include key build milestones, photos, recruitment opportunities and more!

On behalf of Klose’s, we are excited about this journey and the ability to bring a community shopping experience to Williamstown.

Earth works have now commenced, which incorporates retaining walls and leveling of the ground, with base slab construction starting late November.

There has been plenty of action on site with retaining wall, boundary works & foundation all near completion, using 440 cubic meters of cement! By December most of the boundary walls will be in place.

Over the last two weeks Chappell have laid the ground slab and the tilt up panel walls arrived to be installed together with the steel work.

We anticipate most of the steel work to be in place before tools are downed over the Christmas break.
